Home learning at St Peter’s CE Primary

While school is closed please make sure that you do these activities every weekday:

  • Read for at least half an hour. This can be in one session (for older children) or broken down into shorter sessions (better for younger children.
  • Practice your spellings using ‘Look, Cover, Write, Check’
  • Practise your number bonds to 10, 20 and 100 (Foundation Stage/KS1) and times tables (Y2-6). See if you can learn them up to 12x12!
  • Practise letter formation (Foundation Stage/Y1) or handwriting joins (Y2-6)
  • Look at the activities being uploaded to your class webpage by your teacher. There will be updated on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays.

These are great activities for keeping busy:

  • Write a book review
  • Research a topic you are interested in and create an information sheet, leaflet or poster
  • Write a letter to a family member or make a card to send to an elderly person who is self-isolating
